Care Guide
Our gold-plated brass pieces are plated with a layer of gold thicker than the industry standard; however, plated pieces should still be handled with care to preserve the plating for as long as possible. We recommend avoiding using moisturizers, fragrances, spray body or hair products, harsh household cleaners, as well as bathing, swimming, or exercising while wearing plated pieces, as these might accelerate the plating wearing off. To clean a gold-plated piece, gently wipe clean with a damp soft cloth and dry with a soft cloth. We do not recommend using a jewelry polishing cloth or jewelry cleaner/solution on plated pieces, as these can damage the plating.
Solid brass pieces can develop a patina over time which can be exacerbated when exposed to moisture. Using a jewelry polishing cloth can restore your solid brass piece's beautiful shine. Storing these items in a jewelry pouch or box can help retain the original shine of the piece.
