Attention to Detail
Oceanic patterns, textures and forms are sculpted into pieces that are as tactile as they are visually stimulating and reminiscent. Touch is a powerful way in which a piece of jewelry can strengthen our connection to a meaningful place. This connection flows from the hands of the artisan sculpting the design in wax to hand polishing the final piece all the way to the hands of the wearer. Each piece is carved, smoothed and polished over time and carries a shared appreciation for its beauty.
Handcrafted with Intention
Having grown up with a lifelong education in the arts and earning degrees in the sciences, it wasn't until I realized I wanted to spend as much time in the ocean as possible did the two really come together. The ocean became my first muse.
I'm inspired by the detail of scientific illustration and the uniqueness of my native state's natural beauty. I love the immersive experience of being in the ocean. The tactile nature of sculpting has made it the most rewarding medium through which to record and celebrate the beauty of this meaningful place.
